Post by RUPD3658 »

Tuguegarao was captured but my troops are exhuasted and low on supplies so it will be a while before the offensive continues.

Landing at Saipan next turn.

Lost a few transports on their way back to Karachi that took the short route through enemy air space.

Saipan landings went smoother than expected. I was worried about the CD guns but I guess a month of bambardments shut them down. Only lost 2 AKs and a few LCIs to mines/CD guns. Much better than the massacre at Tinian

RE: Saipan Captured

Post by RUPD3658 »

Convoy at Iwo Jima was obliterated but more importantly served as cover for my next move. All the CVs and CVLs are headed to Osaka at full speed for a raid on the port. Fighter cover is minimal but the weather is bad. Fingers are crossed. I am hoping that this raid will cause Gordon to pull his AC back from China which will reduce pilot training and give Chungking a break.

Landing at Pagan will be this turn. Transports took too long loading and the supply ships arrived first.

Crossed the river in the PI and am now marching towards Linyagan

RE: Saipan Captured

Post by RUPD3658 »

Pagan was captured and cleared. Once the AF is repaired I will use it as a fighter base to threaten Bonin and Iwo.

Saipan stragglers continue to hold out. I will have to change tactics a bit here.

RE: Saipan Captured

Post by RUPD3658 »

B-24s went after a well protected TF at Canton rather than the easy target of an undefended port at Shanghai. Losses were about even but once again I am out of P-38 replacements. Should have set them to Port attack only.

Wow - looks like you're facing zombies or cyborg Japs on Saipan. You may have taken heavy losses outside of Shanghai, but you are still culling out some good fighters on his side.

RE: Saipan Captured

Post by RUPD3658 »

Took Lingayen on the first try. Supplies and disruption must have been really bad since they were lvl 9 forts in a wooded hex but their adjusted av was 1/3 or their base. Clearing the PI may be easier than I had expected. Wish I could same the same for Saipan.

RE: Saipan Captured

Post by RUPD3658 »

Finally got the B-29s to fly but they went after Formosa instead of the HI and got slaughtered by flak (35 shot down).

Siapan resistance is crumbling fast. I should be able to use thge troops there soon.

Making progress in the PI. I should take Laoag this turn.
