Modding questions

Post by NormS3 »

Hello,

Got some questions about modding. [&:]

1. under locations, can any open slot be used or are there ranges that bases go and where units go?
2. if a base is not listed as active will it work in senario?

Thanks in advance (i'm sure more questions to follow)[;)]

All open slots under locations are fair game, and if you don't have the base active then it's not IN the scenario, so no, it won't work.

Thanks T.

So I guess the field that starts as 0 City is not for use?

Er, no idea. I haven't seen it used anywhere official, so I'd probably not use it if I were you.

Wierd just started game to see if it would work. The city appears on map, but would take a longer test to see for sure. Have to wait til i get home I guess.

Thanks again T!

Another question, how will the patch effect the mods?

Does it overwrite? or is it just not work with em (which is my guess)?

Well, I'd keep away from changing any of the slots that are already in use, but am almost certain that we won't be using any of the empty ones.

Thanks T!

Thats better than I could have hoped.

Will a log of the changes be kept and shared as was in Witp?

It'll most likely be in the form of a continually updated "What's New" file.
