B-29s got slaughtered in a strike against Hamamatsu. The fighter cover was light but 85 were shot down. B-29s are proving to be very fragile.

Laoag fell following a shock attack. Survivers are now trapped at Vigan.

Saipan was finally cleared. Once the troops have a chance to rest I will be on the move again.

Holey-Moley - that's a pretty severe result. Does the game allow for night bombing? I'm surprised, given the robust nature of the B-29 & the fact that historically they never took those kinds of losses.

Good to see the cyber-vampire-zombies of the apocalypse have been routed out of Saipan.

A very bloody day in the air war. I destroyed 535 Jap AC at the loss of 193 of my own. In A2A we were almost even at 159 Jap to 177 Allied. Ground kills made it a good day for me. Most of my losses were P-38Js so the reserve pool is now empty and will be for better than a month.

Surface raid in Canaton took out a few AP/AKs

Clark fell so I have the last of the defenders divided up nicely between San macelino, Bataan, and Manila.

Got bitten by a bug[:@] Fortunetly I checked my invasion fleet to make sure everyone was now set to unload troops and discovered that they had already unloaded their troops prior to departure. Needless to say the whole fleet has been turned around and I will try it again.

Destroyed over 150 transports on the ground at Taipai. Gordon informs me that he has been suing them to pull fragments out of the PI before it falls. Looks like I will have to fight many of these units again.

Lack of strike coordination made the raid a failure since I lost over 50 strike aircraft because they flew against ships without waiting for their escorts. Losses for the day were 259 allied and 425 jap. This did manage to even the overall score however.

Several ships were sunk so i guess you can call the raid a wash.

CVs are going to stick around for a second strike and hopfully draw some Jap planes into A2A.

Troops form from Saipan have been moved to Aparri and will begin the march south soon.

CVs stuck around and nailed some MLs but didn't do much more. I am going to keep them in the area another turn despite the bad weather.

4E bomber raid against Canton destroyed a ton of planes for little losses.

Vaigan should fall and Linyagan should be clear next turn.

CVs didn't attack Nagaski as ordered but did draw about 70 Jap AC to their doom. I am very lucky that they chickened out since I had set everyone to airfield and port attack only to have the KB pull up 4 hexes away. Both fleeys just eyeballed eachother and no strikes were launched. Should be a battle next turn. I am pulling the CVs far enough away from Nagasaki that they don't launch strikes against the TFs in the hex whcih has 400 fighters spotted there. All the CVEs from the PI will meet up on the second turn to provide cover for an escape if thing go poorly or to pursue if things go well.

Vigan was captured and San Macellino was cleared out too.

Captured Bataan and cleared out Jambi. Now I just need to clear out Bataan and then move on to Manila. Supplies are running low so this may take a while.

B-29s are still refusing to fly. I am hoping that once they move to Clark Field they will actaully fly.

CVs are running low on gas but are going to make one last run against Nagasaki despite the bad weather

Bad weather kept my CV ac grounded again. I shot down arout 40 search planes so I guess I should be happy with that. CVs are now headed to port to refuel.

Encountered only light resistance at Yap. Hopefully it will fall next turn.
