anyone tried taking Norway?

From the front lines in France and Russia to the deserts of North Africa and the airfields and convoys of Britain, the campaigns of World War II are yours to command in WW2: Time of Wrath! This turn-based grand strategy title, the highly improved and expanded sequel to WW2: Road to Victory, puts the player in charge of the political, economic and military decisions of one or more Axis or Allied nations, including minor nations.

Either as Axis or Allies? How did you do it, how did the naval battles go, etc.?

No, have not but I think I start a new campaign as the axis to try it out.
Playing for 1 year as allies I was very surprised reading the mesage that Norway had surrendered to Germany after they declared war. At that moment I must have sunked most of the german surface fleet with Royal Navy. No need for Norway to surrender at all. I have commented that in another thread.
In WW2 Norway fought for 2 month so I guess it should be a rather hard task to accomplish.

Indeed, we have allowed Norwich AI to surrender after the declaration of war.
If you really thing it happens to often we can decrease the chance of surrender.

Hard to say, just started playing this game. An historical fact is that 90% of the iron from Kiruna in northern Sweeden went to Germany before the war. The rest to the UK. The ice covers part of the Baltic Sea in the winter preventing any shipment that way, that is why Germany needed Narvik so badly because the iron went form Kiruna by rail to Narvik during wintertime. Narvik should therefore have a substantial PP value.

A part from this the Norwegain king decided to fight and with help of French, UK, and Polish forces the Germans faced their first defeat in WW2. Even so, the Germans fought well with minor forces.

If Norway do not surrender easily it could become an interesting battlefield for both parties and as mentioned a crucial conquest to Germany because of the Iron. Not so much as a basis for air forces and naval forces as it was historically, since the game is designed as it is.

All I can say, having not received a surrender, is that it's a difficult fight city by city up the coast to Narvik.

It would be even tougher if the AI was better a garrisoning all cities all the time! [;)]

East Anglia ceeding from the rest of the UK and going over to the Axis. Not sure Churchill would aprove [:)]
