Looking for some help

Post by 2ndACR »

Okay, so if I have a Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300......what should my target line say on my shortcut?

I have enough computer skill to be very dangerous to my PC, so be gentle.

"C:\Matrix Games\War in the Pacific Admiral's Edition\autorun.exe"

That is what it says right now.......I want to run on all 4 and highest priority setting or realtime (I guess that is the fastest).

Any help will be great.

P.S. I am running Vista 64 bit with a NVIDIA 9800GT

Howdy.

You need to add the switch to the target properties of your "Quick Start" shortcut not the "Game Menu" shortcut.

Ultimately your target should look something like this:

"C:\Matrix Games\War in the Pacific Admiral's Edition\War in the Pacific Admiral Edition.exe" -dual -altFont -deepColor

Okay, so it should say:

C:\Matrix Games\War in the Pacific Admiral's Edition\War in the Pacific Admiral's Edition.exe -dual

Okay, need to make a new shortcut then using the quick start one........how would I set my affinity?

And should it have the "" in it?

You don't need to create it actually unless that's easier. Just right click on the "Quick Start" choice in your start menu and then open "properties".

The affinity setting is something I haven't messed with since I'm mainly playing on my 3.2 Core 2 Duo, not on my 2.4 Quad machine. You should see quicker loads with just doing the above.

Yes, leave the " ". Add a space and then the switch.
