They had almost no tanks on theoutbreak of war and had to make do with local built tanks, one offs, improvised trucks and carriers in a tank role rather than have 15 different types of improvised AFV we just lumped them all together under Improvised AFV !!!

10th December 1941

A lots of Action happen but more on this later. The AI intel service is great!!![&o][&o][&o] Just got info about enemy units loaded on ships heading for Miri and Mauban. I can't do nothing about
Miri Landing but im sending a PA division to Mauban to make a welcoming party for the Japs.

China/Burma/India

It's decided all Commonwealth/UK troops bound for Singapore will be redirected to Rangoon to strenghten Burma Defences.

Philippines

In the Philippines US/RN PT's attacked enemy convoy unloading at Vigan but only scored 2 torpedo hits. Subs were also active but most of the shoot's were Dud. S-41 achived a great succes sinking xAK
Sugiyama Maru and Ryuun Maru. Enemy Main force landed in Appari so i ordered B-17's to bomb the place while P-40's will sweep the area. I need to decide if i want to move on Vigan i have some PA Division's not far from enemy landing site and as far as Recon tell's me only 2 units landed there. Enemy mine field off Bataan is pissing me off 2 PT's were lost on mines[:@]

DEI/Malaya
JAAF is bombing the northern airfields in Malaya while JNAF is inactive... strange. I will abandon Northern Malaya ASAP becouse japs coming out of Khota Bharu may try to isolate troops located up North. Jap I boat sunk a Mine Layer off Kuching. Transport ships are moving Fuel out of the DEI to OZ

CENTPAC
KB is located South of Midway it just encountered their supply ships or at least that is what the recon tells me. I evaced Wildcats out of Wake and send the Vindicator squadron off Lexington to Midway.
Enemy landed at Baker but Japs were suprised of Tarawa by CA Luisville and Pensacola[:D][:D] There is nothing left of the Convoy now. I started to load some base forces and infantry bound for Pacific islands im not yet sure where to send them exactly but will now soon enough.

Night Time Surface Combat, near Tarawa at 136,128, Range 1,000 Yards

Japanese Ships
PB Santos Maru, Shell hits 11, and is sunk
xAKL Toyotsu Maru, Shell hits 5, and is sunk
xAK Aratama Maru, Shell hits 18, and is sunk
xAKL Katsura Maru, Shell hits 6, and is sunk
xAKL Kaito Maru, Shell hits 4, and is sunk
xAKL Tenposan Maru, Shell hits 2, heavy fires

Allied Ships
CA Louisville, Shell hits 2

Malaya

JAAF was really active this turn it bombed Alor Star/GeorgeTown/Kuala Lumpur and units retreating from Khota Bahru. Small force of Buffalo fighters meet the attackers but was unable to inflict significant losses. I need to speed up the Retreat.

Philippines

Big Air battle over Appari where P-40's from Manila attacked patroling Nates... without any losses they were able to down 7 enemy planes[;)] Subs put in number of attacks but either they missed or hits were Dud's[:@] B-17's bombing Appari scored only 3 hits on the Runways[:@] Tay Tay was sized probably by paratroopers.

CentPac

Wake was invaded but the attack did not go well for the japanese.

12th December

Philippines

Lots of Air action over Luzon in day long air action Japs lost around 10 Nates/4 Zeros/And around 10 Bomber's at the cost of only 1 P-40!!!![:D] My PT boats were hit by enemy ships and i lost
number of them. Enemy Landed in Legaspi and Mouban (As intel told me). I need to abandon Southern Luzon and focus on Defence of Manila. I lost a SS off Lingayen it is the first lost.

Malaya/DEI

Enemy landings in Miri and Brunei are going smoth as Dutch bombers can't hit anything or at least it looks like this[:)] But Dutch Subs
are on station and achived two hits one in Miri and one of Malaya. A Jap TF was spoted off Jolo... hmmm strange[X(] It says those are BB's

CENTPAC

KB is around Wake as it bombed the place.

8th December 1941

China/Burma/India

Some small air strikes in China by JAAF. Im planning a limited offensive on Inchang and Nanchang(?) maybe it will work in other areas i will try to build up a stable front[:)] I don't know what to do with India most units are tied to bases to garrison them[:(] and there are no forces avaliable to be send to Burma. I plan to defend Burma so i need to start shipping in Supply and Troops to Rangoon to be able to mount some defence. I will redirect 2 Brigades bound for Singapore to Rangoon and this should strenghten my forces to be able to mount some serious defense. The only thing i lack in Burma is AV support and as for now i don't know where to get it[:(]

If you rearrange all those small units consisting mostly of militia, you might be able to cover enough of the garrison requirements to release one or two Indian Brigades.

For getting stuff to Burma... check if you have any squadron in India or on Ceylon that can do Troop Transport missions; I think besides transports, patrol aircraft can do that, too. Get the unit you wish to transfer close to the Burmese border, say to Calcutta (close enough for a Burma airfield to be in range of that squadron) then have them airlifted. Doesn´t work for guns and vehicles, of course, but it does work for AV Support.

14th-16th December 1941

Philippines

USAAF in the PI area got hit hard especialy P-40's there is only around 30 of them left from the Original 86. Enemy troops moved from Mouban to Batangas but 3 Philippino Divisions were weaiting for them. And now a unit from Manila will cut them off sizing Mouban so i may be able to do some damage to them. Some paratropers landed in a (dot) base North of Clark but a Cavalery and 2 Armor units pushed them back. I have 3 PA divisions N of Manila and a marine regiment. All are in the Rest mode to be as fit as possible for coming combat. But im tempted to go for Vigan my recon unit's tell me that there is not much of Japanese troops there so a counter attack might do some damage. But this is Risky. My subs of Luzon are hiting like 6 ships a day but torpedos are all Dud's[:@][:@] Enemy landed on Mindanao and Panay my bases there should fall quickly[:(]

DEI

Japanese have sized Namlea and Ternate. Enemy subs are active in the Java Sea but i can't find a cure for them[:(] any way will try to hunt them down. Force Z supported by Dutch elements hit enemy minesweepers off Kuching[:D] 2 were sunk with no losses. ABDA CA striking force is at Kendari ready to hit enemy landing's when they occur.

Malaya

Some strange thing happend my troops from Alor Star were ordered to march to Taiping on DEC 7th but they decided to march to a hex E of Alor Star so they may be traped[:@] I plan to make a stand at Temuloch and surrunding area before falling back south.

Burma

44th and 45th Ind Brigades arrived at Rangoon toghter with 48th Ghurka Brigade. This will strenghten my troops in the area allowing to at least reapeal first enemy attack. 2 Squadrons of AVG are guarding Rangoon so i do not excpect any trouble there. En rute are Black Force and 46th Ind Brigade and 3 British Brigades. I know i should send them to Malaya but i don't belive they would do much difference there.

China

My troops entered Nanchang and Inchang will try to take those bases.
