Should there be a cap on PP stored?

Post by JFalk68 »

I deleted the original post, I was playing till 5am and not functioning as I should. I fired up the game to check about my original post and just did not see the problem I mentioned. I know I hit end turn several times, I was probably the pp accumaltion of several turns worth I was seeing.

Currently earning about 200pp a turn after troop maintenance

Adding to my above idea...should you be allowed to buy units at max technology level? I would like that you have to buy them at 2 levels below with the min being 1. This would simulate green troops vs experienced troops that have been in battle. Sending replacements to existing experienced units would take priority over producing carbon copy new units that really should be green and not combat tested. The units them selves would upgrade automatically when exposed to combat over several turns. Maybe 8 turns of continuous combat to level 4 and 16 turns of continuous combat from level 4 to 5.

This is just a proposal and I am thinking of a way to simulate fresh green troops just purchased vs a unit thats been in the front lines.

Could you tell us more about your game? Are you Germany vs. the AI?

Do you have the settings set at Normal?

Give us a year by year description what happened. Is it 1941 and Germany has so many PPs ? 1944?
Only the dead have seen the end of War.

to be honest, I would have to say, if you want to go this route, you got to study the history of each nation and then build up there troops based on how they built there troops

the idea just doesn't work for the Germans, as that is not how they built new units, nor did the English

maybe you could go that way with the Russian, and to be honest, the US would work backwards as to how you want to do it, they would started out highly trained, then gain exp, and go to vet status, and then slowly back down to Highly trained as there replacements came in

(both the Germans and English, wondered why the US worked the replacements the way they did)
