Thank you.
Well the issue is that the company I work for is so small that every man not at work means more work for the rest of us, now we have 3 people on vacation/on sick leave. I have been working 14-18 hr days this week, either sleeping in the truck or on the couch with my dinner on the floor when I wake up.

I agree, I should be better at letting people know and will try to get myself to boot up the PC when I walk through the door instead of going for some food first.

But WANT to quit? Nope, having a blast with it.
But I say it should be voted on, for or against another player.

Terje

*edit* oh, and I am never aware of when I get a double shift untill my first one ends [:(]

Well that just about says it all as far as I'm concerned, just on the off chance that other folk do want to vote on the issue then I'm against getting in another player, it is the Holiday season and these probs will more than likely happen again next year so lets just take this as a practice run [:)]

I'm not for quitting either Terje. I might have been reduced to 4-6 provinces from a hard-coded inability to protect most of my starting provinces, but I'm still up for and looking for a fight!

If we need to wait, we wait. That's my vote.

Brits in.

I guess I would be for continuing, even if the game has gotten a little weird, particularly because we might find some more balance or bug issues that need to be addressed.

Hey Lenin and Kingmaker, which nations are you guys playing in this one? I can't keep you guys straight . . .

ADDIT: I can empathize with you guys who have got hit hard by the Insurrection thing. It does seem to be imbalanced in the game, and that makes it hard to stay motivated in a match when a game imbalance is to blame for having your competitive edge blunted.

But I do think it is worth continuing this one, if nothing else just to see who wins it ultimately, but esp. to keep looking for bugs and imblancers. You guys have already found several of them, and I think it is a huge service to the community and to WCS if we keep playing and pushing the envelope of the game engine a bit.

Plus, at this rate Russia just might WIN! [:'(]

But seriously, it is interesting to me that, the high scorer has been the high-scorer for what? Years now? Yet advancing to final victory has not progressed for a long time. I'd say that (apart from that Insurrection thing) the game is actually pretty well balanced.

HiHi

Prussia in, 1 to go.

Fraid it's a "Stand down" again as I'm off to work in a bit, catch you in the morning.

PS, Seamus, I should be fairly easy to spot, ie Spain recieves the files, Spain merges the files and Spain sends them out again [:D]

If you are having serious probs do what I do which is set up a 'Word' document, with all the players and their nations listed by Game title, (I do the same for emails making use of the 'Nickname' option) easy to pull out when needed then.

Lenin (Prussia) has been treading water, Glory-wise, because of the constant insurrections. An area rebels, he immediately DOWs, losing glory, and gains about the same glory in recapturing it. Its about the same negative and positive, plus he lost the glory income of holding the political targets in the meantime, so little upward progress.

Anyways, all I can say is I hope the fix they come up with addresses the problem without overdoing it.

I also say that WCS should form a larger beta test team. In our first 2 MP games we have found a bunch of issues.

I think, but not sure, WCS is three guys, and their beta team is all "volunteer." Putting that and this fantastic game into perspective with heinous works of nightmare like Empire Total Frustration, which I'll guess has a team of 15 or 20 PAID guys on it, plus probably also a large volunteer beta community? . . . well, hard for me to be critical if not simultaneously supportive [:D]

Hmm IronWarrior...Have you not learned yet just HOW hard the Austrians are to defeat? And THIS time our NM is at 1000...
Try if you want, but I would bring more than 300.000 men if I were you!

I realize all that. Perhaps they should have some of us as mp beta testers as well. Humans playing other humans is the best way to uncover unbalanced game mechanics.
