Downloading disaster

Hello,

I recently bought the game and successfully installed and registered it. But when I go to download the beta patch after logging in to the members section, the file prepares to download, stalls, then simply stops altogether with no message. When I attempted to do the same thing with other Matrix patches, the same problem occurred. This didn't use to be the case with Matrix, I've downloaded plenty of patches. What's more, I can download patches from other game sites--only Matrix is affected. I have attempted to disable everything on my computer that could possibly cause it, like virus protection, and still the problem persists.

I attempted twice to send a message to the Helpdesk, only to receive error messages, so I'm posting here. I really am out of ideas--and still without the hotfix!

The fact that the Help Desk isn't working for you either makes me wonder if you have some kind of security setting or software that's interfering with our site? Are you using perhaps some kind of download manager to try to grab the update from our server? If it sees multiple download attempts of the same file from the same IP it will try to shut down the download.

Wait, I may have found a workaround. If the hotfix has been successfully installed, what version will display on the Main Menu Screen? Is it 1.0.0.1080 perhaps?

Have you tried to use Free Download Manager. It's free, and it works fine [;)]

Yes, the hotfix is 1.080
