Shipyard Repair

Post by TheOx »

Ok, so if I put a ship (CV Saratoga) at Sydney in the shipyard (max cap 30k tons) and Saratoga displaces 36k tons, will the ship reapir at a reduced rate or not at all?

Not at all - it's too big.

CRAP! Is there anything I'm missing in SouthPac that can take a CV? Looks like Sydney is the biggest shipyard at 30k. Can't really repair flotation in anything but a shipyard, right?

Use ARs to repair minor flotation damage. You did move a support group of tenders etc forward to 'support' your operations, didn't you ?

Yes, they're at Canton at the moment. Can they repair 25 major flotation on a CV? Damn subs!

Gonna say no on ARs repairing Major Float damage. Pretty sure any large amounts of Major Damage needs a Repair Yard or a specialized unit like an ARD for Major Hull Damage only.
Yamato, IMO the best looking Battleship.

Yep, Hornet on the way. Zeroes tore up Lex's groups pretty badly. Got 46 a/c on the carrier now. Might have to send her back up too.

On a sideline, I never understood why AFB's can't have the option of expanding dry-docks ... but just shows the importance of ARD's
