AI Suicide missions??

In my game as the Japanese against the Allied AI (scenario 2: Hakko Ichiu), it is now Feb 4, 1942 and I just detected an Allied surface TF consisting of 2 CL's and 2 DD's. Here is where the problem comes in, this TF was detected as it attacked a cargo TF of mine near Wakkanai (hex 123, 48)! Seems like a real misstep by the AI to send a SAG into that area with NO air support whatsoever. What say ye? Oh and I reloaded the game as the Allied side and there is indeed an Allied SAG located in that area, it was not FOW or misreport by any means. Here is the save:

Its an error I have now corrected 99/100 times the error will not be noticed as the scriupts involved are very short but th eodd one will be picked up dont worry about it as i said these scripts end after 12 days so its unlikely they will get to far
