Repair Time: High vs. Critical

Post by Kull »

An oddity I spotted while putting I-169 into pierside repair mode during the Aleutians scenario. It's 8 days when Repair is set to "High":

Apparently this is not just a "High vs. Critical" issue. I have a midget sub undergoing pierside repair in Kiska, and the forecast is 16 days when set to High or Critical versus 15 days when set to Normal or Low.

And 9 days when Repair is set to "Critical":

Yes, I've been seeing that, too. Sounds like a non-linearity in the repair allocation algorithm.

Maybe some non-linearity or some such thing. More likely the port does not have enough facilities to support higher priority levels. If the original poster will post a save in the Tech Support Forum I will take a look.

I'm not the original poster but I see this frequently so here's a save. I'll PM you with the password.

Go to Vigan. There's a disbanded DD undergoing pierside repair. If you cycle through the four repair priorities you will find the repair time is non-monotonic with priority. I think "High" was longer than any of the other three modes.
