After 10 years still enjoying this..

Post by Bradley62 »

CC was the impetus for getting a PC way back when and it didn't disappoint, in fact I never got so much value out of a product (my CC3 CD, still have it) and now COI is giving me more enjoyment as I love me some Eastern Front action.

I may be playing this till the end, nothing has replaced nor do I believe ever will. But never say never. If it evolves my hope is it will retain it's wonderful top-down gameplay. The enhancements have made CC ever more playable.

Thanks to those who strive to make it CC what it is.

Yes and suspect I will get around to them. But now I'm so wrapped around KV 1&2s, T-34s, and PPsh 41s in the snow [:)]

as owner of the original cc3 (just rediscovered it) one question:

me reading through the forum left me with a big?  where is the difference between the original cc3 and coi? what is the gain?
please do not misunderstand me, i loved and still love cc2 and cc3 but i could not find any reference in the forum from players perspective.

Here are the three main differences:

1. New grand campaign with new maps

2. Units were adjusted for historicity. For example, the IS-3 tank and the German Rocket vehicle were removed. IMO, they didn't go far enough to make a realistic balance between the number of tanks and infantrymen. (Realistically, you should only have around 1 tank for every 50-60 soldiers, and most of those tanks should not be heavy tanks)

3. Massive Multiplayer CC III feature
