Flow of supply

Post by Crimguy »

Someone able to give me supply in a nutshell for AE as the allies? I had a nice thing in the original. Shuffle supply from SF and Karachi down to Australia, using Noumea and Perth as go-between ports. Now it appears we have to get cargo from South Africa and the East Coast over.

How's everyone handling that in the beginning? I assume a lot of AK's need to be shuffled over to the off-map ports and then start hauling . . .

True. Transports and tankers need to be gathered together for convoy duty, and that takes a while.

Cape Town has supply and fuel being dumped there, so yes that's the new supply point.

Abadan has lots of fuel and some supply.

Aden is where many reinforcements arrive.

What I've been doing: Big, fast AKs to Cape Town with some TKs. I don't drain Cape Town of fuel because that's where convoys do their refueling. Trying to keep 50k or more fuel there. Making sure their are enough APs/AKs on hand in Aden when troops & aircraft arrive. TKs and a few AKs to Abadan for fuel and the occasional supply run to keep Karachi & Bombay happy.

On the US side, it all comes from the East Coast. Increase the supply demand in the major West Coast ports and they will have plenty available for convoys.

It does seem that the allies have but few destroyer's ready for convoy duty on the west coast, so that'll mean either large convoys which take an eternity to unload, or lightly escorted ones.

How about for the GUAD scenario? Anyone know where the supplies are dumped? Noumea or Brisbane?
