PB Cargo Capacity?

My Ansyu class PBs claim to have a cargo capacity of 1000. However, I haven't been able to figure out how to use it. Is this cargo capacity real, or is it just representative of some other conversion? (If so, it would seem the cargo capacity of the current mode should be displayed)

I can provide saves if needed but I suspect this is my lack of understanding.
