Georgetown fall, january 8th. 15e Indian Brigade (wich was isolated by the japanese moves in Malaya), Penang Fortress, ISF base and another base surrenders; 18500 mens leaded in camp, for the loss of 150 japaneses (probably disabled, not destroyed). The position was bombed by hundred of planes since 2 weeks, with airfield destroyed and unable to maintain a CAP of fighters, with supplies destroyed quickly, and once my fighters were gone, the bombing was on the troops, leading to strong disability.

South West of Java, a japanese TF with 3BB (Kongo, Haruna, ??) , 3 CA (Myoko), 3 DD, chasing AK and TK fleeing Java. The allied LBA are just Flack targets: many damaged, a few destroyed, still no hits on the japs ships...
