Planning Tools

Post by Graymane »

There were quite a few utilities for use with WitP. I know that witpStaff is included with AE. Is there some other tool that shows a good OOB for a scenario start? You know, something that shows an HQ and all its subordinate units. I used to roll my own with witpLoad and looking at the scenario files I see that witpLoad is still there, is that what I still have to do?

I'm also in search of an LCU OOB. What is witpLoad? I don't see where it is included with AE.

Is WitPload still needed with AE? I'm finding the Auto-load feature works nicely.

Hey Matt...I'm sorry but I don't understand your response. I have discoverd that witpLoad is an app that downloads the data in the game and puts it in an Exel spreadsheet. I found it in the SCEN file and ran it, but it doesn't generate an LCU OOB, which is what I am looking for.

Does anyone have a Scenario#1 LCU OOB?

Here is a scenario #1 Japanese LCU OOB.
It is an Excel file so please rename it to .xls

It should be correct but you never know. [8|]

Thanks Marc, that's exactly what I'm looking for, except that I'm in search of the OOB for the Allies, not the japs. How did you do this?

The Source are the files generated with witploadae.exe in the SCEN directory and then put together with Excel and Access. The AV calculation was only possible with the help from the two nice guys from the WitpTracker team [&o].

If you are looking for the Allied OOB you are definitely playing the wrong side [:D]

OK
Here is the Allied OOB in Excel format.
It was easier than I thought but please double check it because I built it in a hurry.

It is also an Excel file so please rename it to .xls

There are some units missing. I don't know when I will be able to add them. Sorry. [:(]

Excellent, thanks a ton!

When I run witploadAE I get .csv files for everything BUT LCUs. I get pilots, leaders. planes, ships, and a couple others but no LCUs?? Does it generate LCUs for you when you run it or do you do something else to get them?

The LCUs are in this file: WITPloc001.csv
and then look at page 35 of the WITPAE Editor manual. There is explained in which slots the LCUs are stored.

Marc may I suggest loading your fine work on one or all the Witp fan sites before it is lost forever in the middle of this very rapidly growing forum.
