Failure to Launch

Post by Otay »

Tried launching a 25+ aircraft strike against a Chinese Carrier Battlegroup along with a three plane support mission, using the mission editor. I selected ship strike as the mission. The support mission launched, but the strike never did. I even increased game speed to 1 minute and never got the aircraft off the deck. Am I doing something wrong here?

Some factors are:

Capability vs. target. Do the aircraft have a loadout that can be used against the target?
Range. Do the assigned craft have the range to make it to the target and back.
And the most likely, is the targeted ship or ships localized? Is there an uncertainty zone?

Thanks,
Russell

Okay, it probably has to do with locating data. Each aircraft was equiped with Harpoon missiles, so it must be localization. Thanks.
