Types of Combat?

Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: The German-Soviet War 1941-1945 is a turn-based World War II strategy game stretching across the entire Eastern Front. Gamers can engage in an epic campaign, including division-sized battles with realistic and historical terrain, weather, orders of battle, logistics and combat results.

The critically and fan-acclaimed Eastern Front mega-game Gary Grigsby’s War in the East just got bigger and better with Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: Don to the Danube! This expansion to the award-winning War in the East comes with a wide array of later war scenarios ranging from short but intense 6 turn bouts like the Battle for Kharkov (1942) to immense 37-turn engagements taking place across multiple nations like Drama on the Danube (Summer 1944 – Spring 1945).

Types of Combat?

I really like the W@W system that gave the option of probe, attack, assault and all out assault. Does WitE have this type of combat? Also for defenders ... will there be multiple defence options?

You have two types of attacks, planed and hasty. In a planned attack you can select units from different hexes. In a hasty attack you can only use one stack. Hasty attacks use less MPs but your odds are not as good. There is a third attack that is sometimes selected by the AI, scouted. If you pick an attack that turns out to be badly against you, the AI will save your butt and turn it into a scouting mission.

winter issue boots have a lining (blue, in my case, Wellco's) that keep your feet warm. Most have no ventilation holes at the arch area, so they're waterproof and much warmer.

The regular/desert issue are thinner and more ventilated. Totally different fit, in my opinion. If you do something stupid, like I did, and wear the winter issue boots in the desert heat, you'll end up with fungal-infected, rotting feet that your 1SG freaks out about. What can I say, they were the most comfortable - then I got some Bates.
