Symbols for land units

Post by NormS3 »

I see that there is a button for symbols under on the location and land unit screen. Is this for the symbol that the unit displays ingame?

Is there a chance we could get a list of these numbers and what they correspond to?

All I see being used are 12 for Cav and 13 for Airborne.

In WITP airborne units had to have 13 to be able to make para drops.

yeah, those are the only two numbers that i've been seeing, but they don't match up with the unit icon strip.

I saw that. I'm gussing the type controls the symbol. And the symbol gives unit special abilities....cav units faster?

For reasons unbeknownst to me, 12 "cav" and 13 "airborne" are the only two Symbols used. This is a carryover from Stock.

Airborne allows units to be air-dropped on enemy bases. Cav gives no special bonus that I can determine. (Cav defined as "infantry" moves as infantry, defined as "armor" moves as armor).

Apart from "airborne" and "cav" all other NATO-symbol displays for units are determined by each LCUs Type/Suffix designation in the editor.
