A Different CTD problem

Hi- Playing Scen. 12/15/41( and other dates prior to this.) I've had a CTD about 6 times on various dates.

The problem seems to crop when I go to an individual ship's screen and I hit any of the various buttons such as the ship itself(looking for tonnage) and endurance, etc. This can happen on various ships.

There seems to be no pattern to this. I cannot give you a screenshot because it just CDT.

I had a problem with unreproducable CTDs, all as a result of clicking on a button, it hangs up - then crashes.

I got this advice:

• it looks possible that your installation of DirectX may have become corrupted.  Try reinstalling DirectX and see what happens.

Went to Microsoft site, got latest DirectX, downloaded and installed.  It's a nice thing to do anyways - I also installed the hotfix, too.

I guess all I can suggest to hbrsvl is to try reinstalling AE. Maybe something is corrupt with his install. Most of us aren't having this problem, so it must be local to his box somehow.
