I found this little bit of history of the Pacific Tankers online its Taken from the book "Gray Steel and Black Oil" by Thomas Wildenburg.

http://www.ibiblio.org/hyperwar/USN/GSBO/GSBO-17.html

Its an interesting book the Author did allow the book to be put up online you can read the whole thing.

If you want to calculate the offset, just click on one of those ships and then mouse over the cargo. Then a little simple math.

Thanks for the tip Don, I have missed that one. So ofcourse I went in to try it out and looks like the math is a little funky when the ship has both cargo and fuel/oil space.

See the attached screenshot. It gives a negative value. Is this intended to get the math right?

Don

I can post a save if you need me too, but all you have to do is:

1. Start GuadMod
2. Create a TF at Sydney w/ xAK Peter Silvister (a ship with both cargo and fuel loads)
3. Tell it to load fuel

The typo shows up everytime, even before its fully loaded.

The math appears to come from: total fuel load in fuel space minus total fuel load cross loaded in cargo space. So the EC2 in the above picture has 500 fuel in fuel space, and (6250/2)=3125 fuel cross loaded in cargo space; so 500-3125= -2625 as is shown in the above screenshot.

Also note that instead of saying Fuel and Oil Capacity: 500/500, it shows 500/3625 which is the total fuel load on the ship.

Again, if you need the save I can provide it, but it does it consistently - for both sides I might add too. Works w/ any Japanease ship that has both load types too. Again, this is all in GuadMod.

Hope this helps.

OK, I see it. Just a display error - improper conversion for the fuel in cargo space offset.

Easy fix.

Cool, glad I could help. Will the cross load for fuel still be 50%?
