different aircraft stats than stock, China is different, flak (Allied) is a killer, etc. And you should have a scenario that is called "Nikmod xy" (whatever version you use...).

All level bombers have their stock bomb loads reduced by half. And if it is Nik Mod no plane will ever be shot down in air-to-air combat. Ever.

I played one game with Nik Mod as Japan and shot down lots of planes in air to air combat, and had lots shot down as well.

That has not been my experience. Are you sure that you are not mistaking Nik Mod for one of the map mods like Castor Troy has done above?

I´m currently playing Nikmod 9.2 against bigbaba who took over from Miller and it´s early 44, some 15.000 ac were lost so far (both sides together), but except some epic battles against the enemy CV fleet I tried to never engage the Allied in an attrition battle (succesfully so far). 4Es are a pain until mid 43, then it gets better when you get better armed fighters. Better doesn´t mean you would knock them down in droves but at least some more shot down.

Nope, it was Nik Mod. My opponent insisted on it. I prefer CHS or BigB. I have never played a map mod from Castor Troy. Incidentally, in the last turn of that game, 24 Nells and 20 Bettys, escorted by 32 Zeros (of various type) attacked 7 CVE's and the Big E. The cap was 154 F4F's of exp 60+. All but 4 of my Zeros were shot down in air to air. 2 Nells and 3 Bettys got through and put 2 torps into the Big E. We were playing 2 day turns and the next day the Big E was sunk, This was the last CV afloat. My opponent hasnt been heard from since. I will admit that air to air is toned down in this game, but we had lots of dogfights over Townsville, Sydney and Canberra and I lost a lot of planes to air to air as well as some epic carrier battles. I erased the Nikmod file when AE arrived or I would post the totals. The game ended in 11/43.

LOL, I had no idea what he was talking about. I never heard of a castor troy mod and since Vienna is one of my favorite cities, I was just going to take the easy route. I could use some more particle shields though.
