I checked it and they all upgrade to other planes like the Ki-45 KAIc or d. But not the "a" version that is beeing built. So..... [&:]

Scenario 1 with PDU off? Hmm, gotta check tonight.

So you can't use the "a" version if you play with PDU on? Are there more planes that cannot be used by the player with PDU on?

02 Can FBs beeing effectively used as Fighters or are they distinctively inferior?

If the Beaus are anything to go buy, set the FBs to bomb and watch the enemy fighters hurt as they try to take them on head on. [:D]

I've personally found 3 good uses for the Nick. The first as has been mentioned is for intercepting unescorted 4Es. The second is in the ground attack role (it does pretty well here). The third is as Kamikazes...durability gives them a slightly better chance at breaking through.

I believe the Ki-45 was actually developed to fill the same role as the German Bf-110 Zerstroyer.
