Question to Jap. Carrier Aircraftgroups

Post by roy2008 »

The Shokaku has to begin 18 Zeros / 27 Val / 27 Kates, in Witp the Shokaku has 24 Zeros / 24 Vals / 24 Kates
All Japanese carriers of the KB has 18 Zeros per Wing

The Ami Carrier has 27 Fighteraircrafts in his Wings.

This is a clear Handicap for Japan

Yes, and sometimes they are Buffaloes... a clear handicap for the Ami!

Its that way because as said, thats what was loaded on Dec 7th. You can easily modify it with the new resize options, which take effect next time the ship disbands into port I believe. This was you can bring the carriers to their maximum capacity.

when you say this was historical, why have the american Carrier ( Enterprise / Lexington / Saratoga ) not the historical Size by his Airgroups?

Enterprise / Lexington

18 Fighter / 36 Dautless / 18 Devastator

Just set air group to "fit to ship" and when you disband CV in port it will change to 24. Note that both Val and Kate air groups will switch from 27 down to 24 as well, so you might want to go against history here and only increase zero squadron while leaving other two at higher number than they were historically.

I don't really know, I resize them when they get back from PH attack.
Ship has to be disbanded in port, and I think you need to resolve the turn for change to happen. So if you really want to change size on turn one feel free to remove them from KB and leave them disbanded in port... [:)]
If you wish to increase number of planes to get better PH strike that won't work, and should not work. The point is in historical accuracy.

And ofc you can always use the editor and change squadrons there to get what you want.
