Why on a random generated setup are most of my units facing the opposite direction of the victory objective flags? Most of them are facing to the offboard edges behind the battleline. I had to adjust nearly 80 sum units 60 infantry and the rest mortars and such. Is this by design?
Oh and when attempting to load a campaign the text is all long across the window like it goes outside of the window and overlaps. Is this because I'm using 1280x1024 resolution instead of 1024x768?
Also is it bad to use antialiasing and anosotropic (sp) filtering?

Was this for a random battle (scenario) or campaign?
If a battle, what force setup option did you select? You may have found a bug in one of the setup zone defines. It is not by design! I myself have never seen this, it has never been reported thus far. Please post the offending file.

Where? In the campaign generator or in the game?

Germany vs Russian ai
Germany meets a Russian attack
A range of hills rises from the edge of a vally. The ground is soft & muddy. Wooded areas interspersed with open fields lead up to a series of entrenchments holding the heights.
Your forces which are operational strength are setup on the Western border facing East.
[I don't remember the entire force mix but I had 60% infantry and Russia had 65% infantry and no tanks for either side. A little bit of mobile vehicles though about 10% and 5% artillery and 10% planes.] Also after futher inspection I only have 53 units not 80. And all the Mobile units are facing in the correct directions. It apparently is just the infantry that is having this issue of looking the wrong direction.

As for the text thing when you go into the game after pressing PLAY on the first page of selection(s) it says "Campaigns" I selected that and the I got all that I told you before. I think below "Campaigns" it says "Set Battles" then "Load Game" then "Multiplayer" etc. etc. after that. When I click on "Campaigns" then it goes to the campaign selection screen where you see 0 Tutorial then 1 hells gate then 8 Kharkov etc. etc. it runs outside that white rectangular box and just doesn't look conformed like maybe it should all be inside that white retangular box? Maybe this is WAD it just looks like it shouldn't look this way to me is all.

Also suggestion or question: The view cone for units viewing direction on the mini map is really rather small and chopped off. Is there any way to extend the view cone to look like an actual cone instead of having the lower portion cut off? Also any way it can be changed to White instead of blue? The blue color clashes with the color of my units and it is not easily noticeable without moving the mouse around quite a bit.

Can you please post the scenario for me to take a look at?
what exactly was the setup zone config? was it one of the kessels?
In terms of the view cone look at Media/Graphics/cameraCone.png
You can edit the file to be any color and shape you like. If you find something which looks good in game please post it as I find the cone a bit difficult at times as well.

What do you mean by post the scenario? About all I know how to do is email it to you if that is ok?
I just make random scenarios I don't write down every little detail about what is in them the time of day or month or anything that's why it's suppose to be random right? [:D]

RE: Some things I noticed today
Hey that is really weird!
I loaded it up fine in the scenario editor and it all looked good (headings correct), but for some reason in the game the infantry headings are all screwy. Never seen it before.
Definately one for Erik to look into for the patch.
Try building another and see what happens.
The good news is that the infantry will autoface correctly during combat anyway, so you don't need to spin them around.

Well this is right after installing that Ie8 hotfix if that helps any. My first game. I didn't really do anything but adjust the unit types on the default page it comes to when making a random generated scenario. Just took out tanks and increased infantry to the max after tanks were gone.
Now about that unit view cone and turning it white?. [:'(]
Edit: Ok I got the cone white and I can see it much much much better now since it doesn't clash with my blue units on the mini map.
But, I can't see how to grab that thing in Microsoft Picture program to drag out it's bottom part and make it into a longer cone shaped figure??
Also another suggestion/question:
I'd like to be able to use W,A,S,D for movement of the camera but it only lets me use the arrow keys and that's too far away from my left hand. I'd also like to be able to use Q/W or Z/X to spin the camera. Is this possible some way?
