Hotkeys

Eagle Day to Bombing of the Reich is a improved and enhanced edition of Talonsoft's older Battle of Britain and Bombing the Reich. This updated version represents the best simulation of the air war over Britain and the strategic bombing campaign over Europe that has ever been made.

Hotkeys

Post by mikkey »

I have one question for hotkeys. They can change it the user or will be fixed? If will be fixed, I would like to ask whether it is possible to change the hotkey "CTRL+R List Raids" for example to "L", "Ctrl+P Show All Path" to "P" and "CTRL+R Review Mission" to "M" (all three without CTRL). Thank you!

I dont think that the hotkeys will be changeable by the user.
The hotkeys you want (without CTRL) are already in use. M (Move Patrol) etc...
so its a bit complicated to change the keys.

yes, you're right Creeper about complications, but M as Move Patrol is hotkey in Axis Reaction Phase and CTRL+R as Review Mission is in Allied Reaction Phase (I mean in Bombing the Reich, in BOB is it reverse). In BtR is now one hotkey for different action. For example hotkey R as Action Report in Axis Move Phase, R as Recall Unit in Axis Reaction Phase, R as Recon in Allied Raid Planning Phase and R as Action Report in Allied Intelligence Briefing Phase etc.
I think only that actions like List of Raids, Show All Path and Review Mission are frequently used (at least for me) and it is better to use one key as a combination of CTRL and another key.

I agree. This is a good idea to change the hotkeys so we need only press one key.
Hope, this will be realized in the game.

my hassle is I am a old timer, so I am used to only using maybe F2 when I play

so I am very open to ideas on the Hotkeys

the hassle is, I got nothing to do with them, so I can't make those changes if I wanted to
