vcredist_x86 for beta?

For the 3.10 beta, a program called "vcredist_x86" is said to be necessary. Is this true for Vista installations as well?

Possibly. It's also possible that another program installation has already installed it.

If you are unsure, the easiest way to figure out if you need it is to try to run Harpoon3_B##.exe from the Windows File Explorer. If it gives you an error saying, "The application failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect," you will need to run the vcredist_x86.exe.
