trading of player during the season

Post by yaz1967 »

[font="Verdana"]Hi All,
I'm new to PureSim and I was wondering if in a major league season replay. Does a player traded at the trade deadline or any other time change teams? For example,I'm managing the 2008 Red Sox. Would Manny Ramirez become a dodger at the trade deadline or do I have to do something to make this happen? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Yaz

Welcome aboard, yaz1967. While the AI will make trades, historical timeline trades/roster changes will have to be done by the human player.

Thanks for the reply,there is a player team affinity box that I check that says it will mirror team roster closely. Would that work in keeping rosters current? I don't do any trading with the AI of other teams during the season and I don't have them trading with one another. I'm hoping that will keep my replays pretty close to real life.

Thanks again,
Yaz

Player affinity will increase the chance that a player lands on / stays on the team/s he did in real life, but is definitely not a guaranteed thing. The AI will never mimick real life exactly. The only way to get real trades/rosters, etc even with player affinity turned on, is to do all of the changes manually
