Laptop NumPad Question

Post by PaulWRoberts »

Another question:

I use an Inspiron 1545 laptop, which has neither a numpad nor a "shadow" (Fn-enabled) numpad feature. There is really no way to get numpad functionality on this keyboard.

Am I out of luck for playing Harpoon ANW? Is there any way to remap key commands?

I have a mac (using virtual XP to play Harpoon), it does not have the num pad either.
So I use the on-screen key board provided by Microsoft.

You could also plug-in an old USB keyboard (or standalone keypad) into your laptop to play ANW, if the on-screen keyboard as suggested above is too annoying :)

Most, if not all, of the number pad hotkeys are not unique to the number pad. I'd try the usual number row or key equivalent as an alternative.

I've added new hotkeys to workaround limitations for Harpoon under virtual machines. I can add more alternatives if there is a function otherwise unavailable.

Thanks,
