Combat Animations

Post by Q-Ball »

I cannot see most Combat Animations. I can see those for amphibious landings, and also ground combat; but I cannot see any air combat at all. Yes, Combat Animations set to ON.

Any suggestions? Is there a reason I can't see some animations?

PS: You can turn animations ON during a PBEM game now, correct? (couldn't in WITP)

FWIW, that happend to me on the last three PBEM games I started. The Japanese played kept turning animations ON (yes you could do that in WitP) and eventually (3-11 turns in my experience) it finally locked in and there were no more problems for the next umptiey-hundred turns

Interesting.....so you just have to click it to ON several times, and eventually it catches? OK, I'll keep trying....seems pretty unscientific though.

yep

But since it only happened to some people and only at the start of a PBEM and (I think) only with Historic First Turn it just was not a big enough deal to run down.

Fortunately the first time it happened to me it cleared up in three turns. If the 11 turn recovery had been the first one my opponent and I would probably have given up before it cleared [:(]

OK, so I will turn it OFF, then ON, every turn until it fixes itself, which could be up to 11 turns......

I trust pompack, but can anyone else verify the fix? I just want to consult another physician before spending a bunch of time to get a PBEM started....

Check the animation delay times. If zero, this could suppress them.
Japanese player controls overall animation playing.

They are set to ZERO. That could be the problem, thank you! I don't care for them, but my opponent wants them, and I want to deliver.

Thanks for the repsonse guys!
