Graphic options/Resolution

Post by MarkShot »

I installed the game today.

Despite whatever options I set like 1280x960 resolution, the next time the game wants to default to 1280x1024. Is there any way to make my choice stick?

Thanks.

Look in your main PCK folder for a script file PCK.vbs

Stridor wrote this to be able to start the game without the preference window popping up every time. Use it instead of the menu or shortcut.

I just did a file manager search of both the PZW and PZK directories+sub directories. There is no VBS script except for comms.vbs in Editor.

Maybe you don't get that if you download the game prepatched to 1.10?

Cute script. However, it does not solve the problem that the game wants to run 1280x1024 instead of what I want.

I guess I will just write my own script in WinBatch to shove the right value into field through sending key strokes. Also, I usually do write background scripts to automatically checkpoint autosave files.

I've written scripts for Harpoon to automatically drop sonar buoys, scripts to make TC2M run accelerated even though it wants to keep dropping to 1X when the shooting starts. This will be a piece of cake.

Thanks anyway.

Another oddity is that you only get to select anti-aliasing if you choose 32 bit color depth.

In any case, I am overriding that via nHancer (a utility for configuring NVidia cards).

All sounds complicated.
Images should be easier to load at Matrix.

I hope you have a wheel mouse. Press and hold down the wheel, then move the mouse.

Mark,

I have found that it is your graphics driver which determines if the values "stick" or not.

Do you have the latest driver for your card?

Regards

Nope. I do not. But as I am of the old school of if your video drivers are working, then don't mess with them.

Thanks for providing an answer.
