Hey guys, I might be one of the ones holding up turn 90. I had something strange happen when I opened it, and I've asked around but got not answer yet. If I still don't get an answer by later today, I'll just go ahead and play it and send it.

Can you elaborate or would it reveal something sensitive?

Oh, and Mus, the sensitive topic: my stealth destroyer escourted amphibious invasion fleet of 100K Russian Guards, 200K Cossacks and 100K Hvy Arty experienced some foul weather in the straits at Copenhagen, but they should be right on time for the attack now [:D]

Please, tell me you guys are NOT going to let Mus win this one. Russia is doing her part to maintain the "balance of power" by taking on the behemoth Prussian lapdog of the evil Anglo Imperialists (granted we Russkies are not commies yet, but still that whole "Imperialist" slur still sounds good when you say it with a thick fake Russian accent, no?).

Will no one else jump on the dogpile?

Will all the little puppies keep lapping at the masters water bowl right up to the end of history?

Now is the time for BOLD nations, who seek to distinguish themselves as glorious _INDIVIDUAL_ states to act. Together we can drag out this PBEM match to _the end of time_ (or at least until Dec 1820, which our actuaries inform us is effectively the "same" thing as "the end of time").

It seems to be an odd strategy to stop Britain winning the game by breaking the eight-year alliance and attacking....Prussia?

Enjoy your phyrric victory, just as you enjoyed hiding under the skirts of the Prussian and Austrian womenfolk for the last nine years, like some sort of frightened child.

Thank you very much for the 18 month enforced peace and the 300 experience! I have been hoping for such a turn of events for the last couple of years!

Agree you are an individual state. In fact, soon, you will no doubt be a collection of tiny, individual states throwing off your yolk.

Enjoy your massive French subsidies.

You can of course be assured that I am coming to eat you, very, very soon.[:D][:D]

I'm out tonight, so will submit turn tomorrow morning.

That treaty had long lapsed, had it not? Well, when you cannot attack the "Master" attacking the "Servant" must suffice I suppose . . . ah, but since no Prussian or Russian blood has yet been spilt in anger, perhaps it is not too late for Prussia to more substantively renounce her reliance on English succor? You never know . . . with the points like they are, you would almost think that you and Mus would be the main protagonists at each other throats by now . . . instead of Britain buying off a win from you . . .

<[:D] Nothing like some good trash-talk to liven up a match > . . . Ah! but where else should our hearty Cossacks hide their "lances" except "under the skirts" of your womenfolk!?!

Eh? What? Did I make a diplomatic miscalculation here or something? To what do you refer Prussian Imperialist!? Please clarify.

Hey, did Russian doctors finally discover a way to remove the Czar's head from his ass? We are seeing movement in Russia for the first time in 8 years!

Too bad his first actions on the world stage are to renounce and immediately attack one ally while calling for the entire world to gang up on another.

You will discover the degree of your diplomatic miscalculation in due course, my dear Czar....

No, we were in an alliance from about turn 2 until you cancelled it last turn, so you could then declare war on me. The treaty which lapsed, was the one that allowed you to march all over my territory, using my depots, which I also set up near the start of the game. Russia could have at that stage staked a claim to determining a place in the discussions regarding the final division of Europe, but chose to sit on the sidelines, a strategy to which they excell! Unlike some powers, I take the game-long alliance with my friends Britain and Sweden seriously, as I do my understanding with my friend and neighbour Austria. Any injury to them is an injury to me also, and all of my friends have proved over time that this is a mutual sentiment. Had Russia not been in isolation until recently, they would have noticed that Prussia had been winning the game for several years, ably "bought off" by the British and the Swedish to do so. It was only the turn to intensive diplomatic actions, to which Prussia has only a weak defence that made that untenable. I fail to see how Prussian interests are threatened by "victory" of any of her friends and allies. It is also no accident that Sweden currently sits in third place, a great achievement for a power of its' size and wealth, and bought by the sacrifice and valour of her troops in battle.

Perhaps if Russia had offered to help out the French and the Turks in the most recent conflict,or any of the conflicts over the last eight years then the current geo-political situation may not have occured, and Russia's appeal to Europe would be more substantial than the sophistry it is in reality. Instead, they chose to sit on the sidelines and "let the British win the game". I notice that Russia also left poor Spain to her fate, just a few months ago.....

Russia can hardly complain now that they may well have picked the losing side.
