Scene Edit display problem

Post by rickier65 »

I'm trying to get my laptop set-up for PCK. I've loaded the latest videao drivers, but i'm still experiencing a problem with the terrain "whitcing out" in SCENE EDIT. I've attached a pic of how it looks at looks at start, but if i try to move the map to fill the Scene EDIT WINDOW, the white area covers the whole map, excpet for tthe water texture.

This doesn't happen in the game itself, but happens ALL the TIME in Scene Edit! And it happens with every map. Makes it almost impossible to make new maps as i use Scene Edit for those final detail adjustments and to visualize the way textures are shoing up.

Anyone know of any video settings that might cause something like this?

Im using a embedded video IBM 82852/82855 graphics.

Thanks,
Rick

RE: Scene Edit display problem

I'v gone through all of the 3D settings in the IMB Graphics Dashboard to try and eliminate the problem above.  I'v also gone through the setting in the windows display settings dialog.  When I got to the hardward acceleration part I get error if i diable Dirctx HW acceleration routines.

In any event, I've been trying to work on a new map this way and it's pretty slow going.  If I try to open the map.bmp to check terrain type, the "white" panel also overlays it, so that I can't see the terrain map either.
