Public Beta v1083c - TF Wierdness

Public Beta v1083c - TF Wierdness

See the attached save. TF 75 in hex 180, 53 has destination Adak Island and home of Los Angeles (loaded up and departed from LA too). Click on the TF and it will show a route to Palmyra! The mouse-over reads:
Task Force 75
Severe Storms
mission:Tanker
destination:Adak Island
refuel at:Palmyra
unload at:Adak Island
Fuel 46550
{list of ships}

Also try this: Instead of clicking on the TF, simply run the turn without touching the TF. After turn resolution, you will find the TF in hex 175, 53. In other words, if you do not touch the TF (by clicking on it), it will continue on its way to Adak Island! It seems like this particular bug is activated/unmasked by clicking on the TF.

Note that this TF has existed for a long time. I load it at Los Angeles, send it somewhere (various places) to unload, then send it back to LA, etc. It is quite possible that the TF went to Palmyra on a previous trip (perhaps even the most recent previous trip).

Gents;

Here is a similar picture. Seems the refuel order does not clear out for some reason. It tends to cause replenishment TFs to do unpredictable things more than anything else for me.

In the first save file TF 75 proceeds to Adak, unloads and then heads to L.A. whether you bring up the TF screen or not.

I brought up the TF screen and set the destination to Adak and the refuel at Palmyra mouseover disappeared. Whether I brought up the TF screen or not the refuel at Palmyra mouseover message disappeared once the TF started unloading at Adak.

Will investigate further.

When you click on the TF to bring up the TF screen, did you see the path (yellow-highlighted hexes) get displayed leading to Palmyra? That's what I saw. I did not run further turns to see which way it actually went (after calling up the TF screen).

There are two issues here.

1. We are still having bleed over issues from AI to human TFs. Hard to solve since we need to maintain the ability for humans to take over the AI side. This is one of them. The proper setting of refuel at (an AI only function) has been adjusted in the patch code. You can always "fix" the issue by assigning the TF a destination (including the one it already has).

2. Any time you bring up a TF screen the game rechecks everything. Some course changes that might happen in the future could get set right away. Works fine unless there is some issue, in which case it shows up sooner rather than later.

Just between you and me, guys, TF pathing is really complicated.

Thank you! It caused no grief, but I will continue to give you anything weird or off kilter that I notice so you can decide which ones have really bad stuff going on inside.
