Supply cost formula incomplete

Post by Jonathan Pollard »

15.3 in the printed manual states that a supply value is generated and how its calculated, but does not state the number from which supply costs are subtracted. Is this deliberate or an oversight? The WITP manual stated that the supply costs are subtacted from 100 (900 if a ground unit move).

For purposes of resupply of bases or units or resource movement the value is 100, for movement of LCUs we are just trying to validate the path the value used is unimportant.

What is the supply cost of the light brown transportation lines, the ones that look like "secondary roads" on p. 37?  P. 190 has different supply and movement costs for secondary roads and trails, and because the appearance of trails is not shown on p.37 it seems possible that what are portrayed as secondary roads are actually trails.

That is a secondary road. Roads and rails can be seen by pressing the 'R' or 'Y' key. As far as witp type trails are concerned they are assumed to be everywhere so just look to terrain costs. When not using strat and there is a rail present then use the trail costs mentioned in the table.
