League of Emperors

Post by Dancing Bear »

Hi all
I was thinking we needed some sort of score board for the PBEM games, so we tell who the real champions are at this game. Of course, since the game takes 10 years to play, I don’t propose we decide this on who actually won a game, as no one has finished one yet. Instead, I propose awarding points at the end of each year, maybe 3 for first place, 2 for second and 1 for third. Players could submit the own “points” at the end of each year of gaming (other players in the game could verify the results).

Maybe we would need players agree to register their games, and limit the number of times a player can register to three(?) games to prevent the winner simply being the person playing the most games. Then anyone with access to the forum can update the score card and we can all see who is winning.

Whoever is the winner is Grand Emperor for the day. It might be the first world League of Emperors.

Any thoughts? Or is this somewhat silly/unmanageable?

Until the bugs and security issues get worked out this "list" won't mean much of anything.

I think 1.07 will be good enough for this!
Thank you
