BBQ is a marinade, not a sauce. The Germans call their marinated deer a sauerbraten. Same basic ingredients, vineger, wine, and spices. Cuts the gamey edge. Bet you could do a wicked BBQ from deer meat. Way better than that goat crap you get in Texas, or on the rest of the border.
