Eng Unit Settings

Post by hbrsvl »

Hi-I think this applies to all scenarios.

I want my Eng units to build ports & airfields, etc. What is the right setting for these units to maximize construction? Combat mode, or what?

Thanks, Hugh Browne

If they are combat engineers, I don't think it matters what setting because they will construct absolutely nothing regardless.

Combat engineers don't build, they tear things down, like enemy fortifications during attacks.

Combat eng show up on base list just the same as noncombat do.
And stuff gets built faster so Im asuming they do build.
Could still be wrong, but by looking at speed stuff gets built with combat unit eng in hex Id say they build.

USS America is right combat engineers are specialist assault engineers for eliminating enemy fortifications. Normal engineers build things like fortifications, and repair things like airfields.
