Intelligence screen (hit "i") and then on the right side: "Ship Availability"

I would think there should be a 3rd such as : Halt production

If you clik again you should find the third option, e.g CVL Shoho, Normal 39, Accelerated 39 and Halted 39.

Ok, looks like its just the Shinano that I can't halt, so far anyway.

Anyone know why that is?

You can only "halt" ship production a certain time out from completion, which varies for each ship class. Irrelevant gave me the detailed explanation years ago but the mists of time cloud my brain on that witty response. In regular WiTp it was easy to halt shinano and I like many other JFB's did it right away. But here in AE shinano has the same value as Taiho so I believe you need to let time go by for it to get closer to completion before you can halt it.

The good news for you is some more detail oriented type will see my response, choke on his coffee and write you a more detailed explanation! Major benefit of this board over many others out there.[;)]

I can only halt ships that are suposed to be built to mid of 42 in the begining of the game.
Frustrating since your merchant points are spent after 10-15 turns max and u cant halt anything to free some...

I loaded the scenario 1:
CV's
I can halt all ship but CV's Unryu class and '45 ETA. I can halt Shinano.
I can only accelarated CV's Unryu class and '45 ETA, this is fine given that their delay is greater than 10*ship durability.

CVE
I can halt Unyo but not Kaiyo. Her delay is greater than 10*ship durability therefore no problem.

Anyhow I can halt all ship < 10*ship durability (of course I do not have checked all ships)
Ok, looks like its just the Shinano that I can't halt, so far anyway.

I think you have a problem, I can halt freely.

You should not waste merchant points because their delay is greater than 10*ship durability.

Actually I think what the problem is - is that the Shinano is Queued and not building.
Maybe someone can clarify this, however, it would be good just to get it off the drawing board, agree? Maybe we should put this in the next update???

Indeed Queued not building for another 48 days.

Durability = 103, so 1030 days of building, it is delayed 1078 days, so 48 days until it's started

Damian,

Just a short question. Why is Shinano considered as a Taiho Class CV. IRL, she was a one-off or a converted Yamato Class BB but had nothing to do with Taiho.

Glibert,
I didn't design the scenario, so I've no idea why ... maybe a Dev will come along and answer you.

I was just showing the WitpTracker-Ae view of shipProduction. Here is the DB assignment, which you can see shows it as a Taiho Class CV.

Have a good one

Because Damian is looking at scenario 2 which is the improved Japanese version. I assume the switch to the Taiho class there was done to make the continued construction more attractive.

In scenario 1 the Shinano is a Shinano class CV (surprise!) and can be halted immediately.
