Cost R&D aircraft

Post by AvG »

Somewhere in my foggy mind lives the idea that R&D-aircraft has costs in HI per day the same way production has.
However I don't find that in the manual.
Can anybody confirm this?

bump...

Also, I have a lot of doubts about how R&D actually works, and the manual isn't helping very much, so instead of making a new thread I'll append to this one. Note that I never played WitP, so this might be SAIEW and routine stuff to old players.

Now, the questions:
[#1 is AvG's question above]

2- is there a cap on how much R&D can accelerate availability of a plane model? I read somewhere in the forums WitP had 3 months max, is this confirmed in AE?

3- do R&D factories consume 1000 supply for each point repaired like production plane factories do?

4- I read in the forums that in WitP R&D factories didn't produce research points until they were fully repaired. Is this confirmed in AE?

5- how relevant is the chance for accelerating availability of a plane model? the manual just states that there is a chance every 100 research points accumulated... now, 95% and 2% are both "chances", but they make a large difference game-wise...

Thanks for any help :)

I only know definitive answer to this:
3- do R&D factories consume 1000 supply for each point repaired like production plane factories do?

Any type of factory repairs eats 1000 supply per point repaired. And repair wont start until you have over 10k supply in that base...
