BF and HQ experience impact

Post by Chickenboy »

I'm wondering about the impact of low experience BF units with aviation support or HQ units with same. In particular, as I fill out fragments of BF or HQ in the DEI, their experience is quite low (presumably because they're filled out with replacements).

Does anyone see a demonstrable impact of this low experience or is it more of whether they exist or not? Will a 10 Exp. BF provide the same 'service' as a 60+ Exp. BF vis a vis aviation support?

Thanks to those with informative responses. Any well-expressed thoughts regarding the manifestation of these differences would be most appreciated.

I think AV support is not affected by experience.
So experience only plays role when your BF gets into combat.

I've not seen any difference between a low and high experience BF; both appear to support planes to their capability.  Maybe the low experience BF's repair planes slower?

So actually, what are all the effects of your aviation support number vs. number of planes?

The one thing I remember from the manual is that if you're in the red your offensive bomber missions are cut by 25%.

It also mentions aviation support can affect your repair and readiness. I know from experience that if you have zero or way small (<20%) aviation support you can really notice the difference in how long it takes to get planes repaired, but what is the actual formula?

Are there any other effects?

Yes, as in Av support is not impacted by experience. exp 10 with 50 AvSupp is same as exp 60 with 50 AvSupp

Thanks, Nik.

My 'take home' message on this is that the unit fragments are really really (really) important to salvage from wherever one can.

If they can be fully effective with inexperienced TOE replacement fill-out, all one needs to salvage is a fragment from the main body and fill out with rookies (what side of the wrench do I hold again?) in order to have a fully contributing base force. This seems particularly important for the allies, as they get gobs of aviation support units.

Good to know.
