LCU Training

Post by Chris21wen »

Setting a LCU to rest/training doesn't seem to do anything on the training front unless their planning is 100. I've had a number of Indian units sitting well away from the front for over two months set to rest/training with below than 100. Although moral etc has improved exp is still sitting at 20.

You must have 100 prep points for a units experience to begin to go up to the national cap on trainning experience.

Yes! that's how it used to be but why is rest/training call that instead of just rest? Does setting it to rest/training further increase the gain of exp once the planning has reached 100?

Phew, rest mode does not train, I'll see about removing the word.

Bigj62,

I thought a unit had to be at 100 prep AND be in "rest/training" mode for the possibility of training to happen.  If that is the case, rest/train is a proper name.

prep has to be 100, op mode has nothing to do with, same as witp. You'll get your best exp gain from cbt.

So just to make sure I understand - The Rest/Training selection does not actually do any training and only the Combat selection will?

So Rest/Training is good for disable/morale recovery and Combat is needed for Training?

Rest/Training will train when a unit has 100 preparation points for a target, just like any other OpMode. Being in combat is best for training, as fighting units gain experience quite quickly, but just being in combat mode isn't any better for training.

OK sorry to ask again. So if you have 100 prep points it doesn't matter what OpMode you are in. You will train as long as you have 100 points. All OpModes will all Train equally? I understand combat (actual fighting) is better but trying to understand from a OpMode perspective. Thanks [8D]
