Land:1) made value of leader random or not knowed before they came in combat

2: made movement cost of unit moving in an enemy controlled hex (with or without enemy LCU) more slow than in a frendly controlled one. and Japan movement rate in china slow every time (not friendly contry after all). and give a better intelligence to chinese: is one of principal actions of partisan..

3: when a unit is eliminated give the choice for player to reconstruct or not reconstruct and became no restricted...

4: give the choice to upgrade or not (or priority of choice) land equipment

5: give a minimom (1% day?) of work on fort in a base with damage in port or airport: have fort stopped at all is a nonsense...for me

6: give to entrenched unit a bonus against artillery: if yet here it's not so evident

7: give a random? malus bonus to a unit when change leader

I'll be blunt 'cause I got to go.

Sorry for a Word screen shot, but I don't know.

But I got to go, I got to go, I got to goo-owoo.

fbs, I'll articulate the details when I get back,

Haha.. very good, got it. Please review GEN-8, and advise if I understood it right [:D]

Cheers [:D]

I really think you should have started the NOWANKERS section for that one. [:D]

At great risk to life and limb, I would like to make a suggestion for the game.

The + key feature (go to next base) is awesome when you want to make sure you check every stinking base. The suggestion I would like to present for consideration is a flag / tick mark / indicator / switch that can be set from the base information display screen that simply says "Don't show me this base when traversing all the bases" or "Skip this base" or something.

As lovely as it might be at base Zamboanga, if I got nobody there, and nobody is ever going there, it slows down the turn to stop there.

Comments please.

OMG! A second post from this guy? Who does he think he is....

My suggestions involves the save file function. It has been my experience when playing WitP Classic and WitP AE that a turn my take several sessions at the PC making sure all your units are doing exactly what you want them to. So the sequence is load the game, work the game, save, come back later and repeat for the same turn.

The time saver I am suggesting is the save function stores what base if any is active at the save so the game returns to the base on load. Say I am working some base in Borneo when I have to save and stop. Upon return I have to either rely on my memory (haha) as to where I left off or start at the default Pearl and + key through the bases until I see the base.

My hope is this is a very minor addition to the save and the startup functions that would make game play that much easier and therefor enjoyable. Thanks.

You can open the all bases screen (button at the top of the window) and scroll through the list to find the base you want.  When you click on the base name, you will be taken there.  I didn't even know about the + key.  With as many bases as we have, I never thought of any such thing.  The different ways people navigate the game is fascinating.

As for the saving the current location with the saved game, that might be a good idea.  I haven't checked it in the code, but I don't think it would be terribly tough to implement either.

Another post? Yes, I have somewhat of a life. But I have much more fun with WitP AE.

The Task Force Name feature is great. It really helps me keep track of the purpose of some of my TF's. Thanks!

Is there any chance that Task Force Name could be added to the Task Force list display?

Thanks, everybody...

Finding a base isn't really a big deal. Just to be able to skip uninteresting bases would be grand.

I would like to have a variant of the FOW game option setting that would have all FOW as is, except combat reports, sunk ships, and point scoring is accurate.

If I'm playing the AI and trying to get a feel for the game mechanics in my first few games, I need better feedback to figure out what works and what doesn't in combat so that I can develop proper tactics.  However, turning FOW off entirely spoils the strategic game - to develop proper strategy you need that uncertainty about disposition of enemy forces and their objectives.

Make it two options - "Strategic FOW" and "Tactical FOW".  I need Strategic FOW on and Tactical FOW off while I'm learning the game.

Air suggestions:

1) Re-tweak the pilot training. A to A Combat should improve defense, air and experience skills, not just experience skills.

2) Allow withdraw function or maybe eliminate the restricted non withdrawable (new word) squadrons in the US. Its just another clickfest to eliminate them all anyway.

General suggestion:

1) Potential bug with use of PPs for changing commands for units. You can choose to change the command of a land unit and it will specify a certain number of PPs to expend (say 200 for example purpose). If you only have say 120 PPs available you can still change the command for the unit and still have some PPs left over! You should not be able to change to begin with since you didn't have enough.

OK. I've had it! Now I want isobars in the weather display! With the ability to assign some wonk to 24 hour forecast the whole damn thing in. The more units in an area? The more accurate the 'bars.

Did I mention I want, no, demand, this feature now?

Black & white would be OK.

Request: For the players who have to save and return to a game often, could the game store what base or even task force you are viewing / working with so when you reload the save file you return right to where you left off?
