A Spanish fleet has wandered into Balkin waters. I will have to dispose of them.

Oh I can't wait to see the next screenshot.
Uhm, is that green dot, Istanbul, a production centre...? You're giving away a production centre for free? How many PP does it have? Well maybe it doesn't matter because if he does fall into the trap you'll destroy more than he can produce. Just look at that enemy armor unit....400 plus.
Hm, maybe now is the time for a speech, something about the upcoming battle and that we will prevail in the end....
( I hope) [:)]

We are all waiting for the next screenshot.

Will the Turks cross the frontlines? Or will they just stay put because of the blown bridges?

Of course Istanbul had to be sacrificed in the withdrawl, but if the plan works out the rewards will be worth the 1 or 2 rounds loss of PP's.

HH post the screenie ASAP!!!!

Soldiers of the Balkan Southern Army Group.....

You are about to take part in the greatest battle in our history.
This struggle against the Turks is now in your hands.
We win or lose by your individual efforts, your bravery, your sacrifice.
Good luck, good hunting and godspeed !
That is all, to your positions !

History began July 4th, 1776. Anything before that was a mistake.

LOL...Nice speech Jeffrey.[:D]

Istanbul is a production center. But it is a "shipswarf" which cannot produce supplies or PP's only ships. For me right now this is not a major loss since I have stopped production at my shipswarf to conserve needed supplies for my ground troops. I have plenty of ships for the moment.

(As the highly-sensitive radio receiver begins to crank out the sounds of a Balkan Military March, which is only an obvious follow-up to the speech that just ended, two men turn to look at each other across the large boulder that serves as a prop for their radio, here at their hideout deep in the Greek mountains.)

Sidney Nettleson: Well, I say, that was quite a pep-talk there, eh Gus?

Gus Tarballs: Yeah, I suppose Hitlerjugend heard somethin' like that too ... just before they were shipped off to Russia to get blown to smithereens ...

Sid: Oh, come, come, you can't possibly compare this guy to Hitler. Besides, he might still have a chance to make it happen. Don't you think so?

Gus: Hell no! Take a look at the map, Sid. This guy just went and put his nuts right between a rock and a hard place. He barely managed to create one nice and safe front, which would hold off Turkey real nice while he slugs it out with Scandinavia, and he just went and reopened it.

Sid: Yes, you're right. It's just like Germany in both world wars. They went on spreading their resources over several fronts, and got beaten.

Gus: Yep - that's right. (nods) Remember how I did it in Arulco? One goddamn town at a time - just go in, take out the bastards, clean up the town, set up some militia to defend it, and then move on to the next. The countryside was clean in no time. And by the time we went to take out that bitch-queen Deirdranna in Meduna, even those poor rebel amateurs that joined us were just as good as any piss-pant so-called guarsman of the Queen's-own-freakin'-Division.

Sid: Yes, those were the good old days. (looks off into the distance for a moment) And, yes, it's true, Carlos, Miguel and Dimitri were much better soldiers than any enemy at the end of the war. (soft chuckle) Hardly surprising, though. Scope was training them, after all.

Gus: Yeah, that was some gal - one of the best snipers I ever had. How is she, by the way?

(The conversation has turned to more private discussion from here on, and as it had no relevance to the events now transpiring in the world, we'll leave our two mercenaries to chat peacefully over a nice cup of tea - or coffea - whatever)

End of story.

Here is the situation in the South at the start of round 22.
The Soviets actually took Istanbul and it was then recaptured by the Turks. These Russian guys are causing turmoil in my plan by slowing up the Turkish advance.

Not to mention the size of there Navy. I guess I was wrong. I need more Ships!
