Amphibious ships confused with transports in TF formation

I've had a lot of issues transferring ships between TFs since the code to block amphibious/transport TFs was added.

Here's one example. There is a TF at Truk that was created as an amphibious TF, loaded supply as a amphibious TF, and is still labeled an amphibious TF. However, I can't transfer the ships into other amphibious TFs in the same hex. If I disband the TF into Truk, I can add the ships to a transport TF, but not an amphibious TF.

PW available on request. I forget the TF number, but there's only half-a-dozen at Truk, and it's the one loaded with supply only.

Yes, the code was written to exclude loaded ships. Your point is a good one, it should be limited to troops only.

A second issue which may be related or different is that if I have a ship or ships which are in an amphibious TF and partially loaded with supply, but nowhere near full, is that they can't load troops in amphibious mode.

Is this the same issue, or should I generate a save?

I haven't been able to reproduce the issue but I found another issue that I think may have confused me into thinking I couldn't load troops.

In the same save I uploaded earlier in the thread, go to TF 136. Cancel the unload of supplies. Do a load troops. You will be given three units to choose from. If you try to load the one with the largest assault value, you will get an "unable to allocate any load to any ship message". However, that's because the unit isn't in the hex! Only two units are in the hex, the other unit is the parent of a fragment in the hex but should not be displayed in the load menu.

- can transfer ships from troop tf to supply tf (both amph. and they stay amph.)
- cant transfer ships from supply tf to troop tf.

Yup, the workaround of transferring into the supply TF works, at least on my save. Thanks.
