Crash

Post by rroberson »

I was wondering of I post my turn (and email you my password) if I could get someone to run the turn for me. Its a PBEM game and it keeps glitching during a dutch submarine attack on one of my CMs.

If this is a repeatable problem on 1084e, then it would be an idea to attach the save here so that developers can check it for a bug.

Oh boy,I just had a crash when a Dutch sub put a torpedo into one of my APD's. I replayed the turn and all worked fine with no crash. The Dutch sub still torpedoed my APD but it didn't cause a crash.

Don't have a savegame to send though.

Did any of the developers find the problem regarding this ctd ?

Using 1084e pbm scenario 1 I am the allies. 27 dec 41 turn. My jap opponent has just run the turn 4 times on each occasion it crashes in the same place when a dutch sub torpedoes a CL south of saigon.

As other players have reported the same problem with dutch subs there does seem to be a bug here.

If you want a save file let me know and I will contact my opponent. He does not frequent the forum.

As a follow up to my previous post my opponent shut down and restarted windows and then reran the turn - no ctd this time.

Interesting, I just had two crashes in two separate games. Once in the combat replay when a sub torpedoed an APD. As the Allies, I then restarted and loaded the game file and that plus the reports were fine, so I played the turn.

And in another game not in the combat replay but when just clicking on a unit. This just happened. These are my first experience with crashes. Both times I got a black screen then a message that it had to close due to a problem with WITPAE exe (something like that).

Think I will reload the game and patches just for grins.

Send me a PM if you want the save files and password.

Attached is the file. This is for the crash during the combat replay. PM me for the password
