how to cordinate forces

Hi Bleck or anyone else how do you cordinate axis forces to defeat allied forces. EG in Italy I have a german armored unit and several Italian air groups I attack with the germans but cannot follow it up until the Italian turn amd I cant go back to the german unit to follow up the air attack which makes no sense to me at all or am I doing something wrong?

It just the price you have to pay to allow control of individual nations.

Ground attack with Germany and clean up with Italy's air units.
