What? EA again?

Post by macgregor »

I know ...I'm going to try yet again to play EA. Perhaps this time I can finish. Plans are even in place to fire up Zero Hour for the 'global' feel (of course when the dates correspond). Anyway, I love making these pretty pictures. My thanks to my opponent, Sapper32, for attempting this with me. Turn 4, I decided to attack Poland.

EA AARs? I'll eat 'em up. :D
To repeat history in a game is to be predictable.

Poland will fight on what few Army units managed to disengage reorg around Warsaw and await the German assault.

Britain sends a HQ unit to France and promises to send a large force to fight alongside their French allies[:D]
The battle of Medjerda is almost forgotten, but was fought against highly disciplined German troops and blasted a route straight to Tunis it was a perfect infiltration battle and should be remembered as the best fought British battle of the war.

We're pushing on toward Warsaw. Meanwhile it appears the Soviets have attacked Finland. Intel is still quite sensitive.

That's kind of a neat idea, with the little coloured astrixes indicating losses. :D

14 full-strength and almost full-movement corps -including all the german armor, mech and air force cannot boot 2 weak units in Warsaw with only 30% entrenchment and 1 unit in reserve. The combat odds were over 100 to 1. And people wonder why I think this game is completely inaccurate. Did I just roll snake eyes twice? Or are there so many special circumstance that they forgot the overriding one; combat power? God I can't wait for MWiF!

MWiF?????????[&:]
Matrix World in Flames -check it out. Assaults become automatic at 10:1 odds. blitzkrieg attacks(requiring an armor advantage, not possible in cities) only need 7:1 to become automatic. The $64k question is whether MWiF will come out before TOAW4. Lesser would be is TOAW4 going to address this?

The situation has matured enough to release this info on Finland.

Germans invade Denmark! I'm not too sure if changing color to denote either seaborne or airborne movement wouldn't look better. Too late for this. Here I used lines of different width. I must learn how to better get these lines to curve the way I want. not much happened in Finland besides some digging in and shoring up. Intelligence there is still considered sensitive.

Both Germany nd Finland have decided on a temporary news blackout except to say that Germany is consolidating a beachead in Norway after taking Oslo. the Finns are expressing grave concerns at that rapid Soviet advance over the river Kemijoki where the destroyed bridge at Rovaniemi appears to have done little to slow them down.
