Association Expansion Option Has Disappeared

Post by jff1515155 »

I am using ver 1.84 RC3a and I just realized that even with the expansion option checked I no longer get the option to expand my association. I have been playing for years and up until the latest release i got the option consistently. Any thoughts???

Ditto. I just ran a couple test associations - no expansion. Even in years where real MLB expanded, like in 1993, the game doesn't allow for it. I'm sure this is a temporary setback while Shaun and Steve add features to the game. I'll post this in the RC3a thread.

It may possibly be related to just something on your computers, as I am also running the latest, and have the option just now appearing at end of my first season.

That's two nays to your yay. Maybe there is something wrong with your computer that makes the game run right. [;)]

Hmm, now I have to take it all back - sort of. I just ran a 1946 sim, moved to 1947, and was prompted to expand the association. What is really strange about this is that I don't have expansion checked in my game options.

Looking over the code base for expansions I can only surmize Shaun may have been in the middle of making changes at the time he left. The way it is coded now, you are going to see some strange things when it comes to expansion...sometimes you will get the prompt...sometimes not.

I think the safe thing to do at this point is wait til Shaun gets back and let him finish what he was working on.

Problem is, I don't remember lol.

I'll look into it.
